BIBLE READING FOR THE HUNGRY
September 6

Psalm 128-135/Revelation 7-9
Blessings & Curses

[About Bible Reading]

OT

128:1 How happy are those who fear the LORD-- all who follow his ways!

NT

7:12 They said, 'Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to our God forever and forever. Amen!'

9:7-9 The locusts looked like horses armed for battle. They had gold crowns on their heads, and they had human faces. Their hair was long like the hair of a woman, and their teeth were like the teeth of a lion. They wore armor made of iron, and their wings roared like an army of chariots rushing into battle.

OT Commentary

Praise the Lord!
Bless the Lord!

NT Commentary

Unrepentant world; of murder, witchcraft, sexual immorality, thefts…

Perspective

Sounds familiar.
Human nature has always been the same.
The cure has always been the same too.
NOTE: The one through whom God blesses is hardly ever conscious of it.
If they are, they probably just blessed themselves.
