ThePRIZE is a reminder of what our real goal is. We human beings exist for one ultimate purpose, the pleasure of our Creator. To walk with Him; to talk with Him; to hear His voice; to feel His touch; to be like Him; to love like Him.
ThePRIZE includes Terry's signature bluesy way of communicating practical reality along with those breakthrough intimate moments with Jesus.
The band on this album will be familiar names to those who have read the credits on Terry's last 4 albums and is graced by the incredible talent and creativity of Roby Duke in an unprecedented way. Not only is he the producer and arranger but adds his unbelievable genius on the guitar to almost every track.
The cover art includes historic scenes from Scotland and England and a painting by Terry all under the direction of John Shaffer, who is another familiar name connected with Terry's projects.
You may notice that Terry did some of the piano tracks on the grand piano provided by Horizon Christian Fellowship of San Diego. That recording happened right in Terry's living room, with expert help from Micworks of Orange County and Chris Taylor of Crossroads Studio fame.
ThePRIZE is well worth the wait and the work. The first line of the first song says it, "The Prize is worth more than I can pay, though I give Him everything. The Passion, the beauty, far beyond my dreams, everyday I walk with Him." 11 songs tracking the awe of discovering God's mercy and the joy of being His friend and serving Him. That is ThePRIZE!

Church in the background is the church in Oxford where CS Lewis attended. Mr. Lewis’ grave is in that churchyard.
Other art: Scenes in Scotland & England were photographed during the 2003 UK tour. Tantallon Castle, originally owned by the Earls of Fife from the Douglas clan in the 14th century, stands atop the 100-ft cliffs above the Firth of Forth. The castle was left in ruins after Cromwell pummeled it for 12 days with his cannons in 1651. It is a National Historic Site today.
A mile out to sea stands Bass Rock. The first inhabitant of “The Bass” was Baldred in the 8th century, and has passed through the hands of a long succession of owners who used it for a monastery, a dungeon, a stronghold against religious persecution, sheep grazing, a prison, a strategic guard post and a lighthouse. Bass has over 100,000 residents, all of them North Atlantic Gannets who nest there each year and nudge their young off the more than 300-ft cliffs when it is time to learn how to fly.

THE PRIZE w&m Terry Clark
This life was empty and dark Without a light, without a heart Then Jesus came shining Put His lifeline around me He lifted me out, I’m born again!
The prize is worth far More than I can pay Though I give Him everything The passion, the beauty Far beyond my dreams Everyday I walk with Him
I see the goal up ahead It’s everything that Jesus said To wear His glory And all He’s done for me Like a golden crown laid at His feet!
To walk with Him To talk with Him To hear His voice To feel His touch To be like Him

THE FACE OF YOUR MERCY w&m Terry Clark
Your mercy has found me Your kindness has captured my heart Your patience has grounded me In love that will never fade away Now I know Now I see
Your peace has surrounded me And now all is well with my soul Your words have astounded me They still every wave and calm the storm The face of Your mercy
Your mercy has found me Your kindness has captured my heart Your healing confounded me And plunged me beneath a cleansing flood Now I know Now I See The face of Your mercy

At Calvary words William R. Newell & Daniel B Towner music Terry Clark
Years I spent in vanity and pride Caring not my Lord was crucified Knowing not it was for me He died On Calvary He died on Calvary Where He set me free
Mercy there was great and grace was free Pardon there was multiplied to me There my burdened soul found liberty At Calvary It was at Calvary Where He set me free
By God’s Word at last my sin I learned Then I trembled at the law I’d spurned Till my guilty soul imploring turned To Calvary I turned to Calvary Where He set me free

DAWN WILL COME Words by Terry Clark, Music by Terry Clark & Roby Duke
There’s no darkness or deepest night With a substance that won’t yield to the light With the sunrise, break of day All the shadows, they always run away Then why should I despair Why should I even go there When the morning is on the way The dawn will come
There’s no evil or devil’s plot No flaming arrow can penetrate my heart With the armor bright as day Face to face, they always run away
Holding God’s hand through the darkest night We’ll hold on tight Looking past the shadows to the morning light The dawn will come You know we’ll be alright now

LET'S TALK ABOUT JESUS w&m Terry Clark
Too many empty words Filling my world up So many times I wonder Why did I speak? But there’s one thing Worth talking about Yes, there’s one thing Always worth talking about…
Let's talk about Jesus And how He saved us all His plan, His design And have you heard His call Let's talk about Jesus And what is on His mind His dreams, His desires And what are the signs Of His coming Oh, He's coming
So many people love The sound of their own voices Drowning out the sounds of life Singing to them But there’s one thing Worth talking about Yes, there’s one thing Always worth talking about
Jesus, I long to see Your face Open my eyes I pray This empty soul is thirsty for Your touch Change my heart Change my heart Change my heart today

SomeOne’s Takin Care O’That w&m Terry Clark
I don’t have to worry About the battles I need to fight There’s SomeOne takin’ care of that I don’t have to worry About thieves in the night There’s SomeOne takin’ care of that
That’s why I’m breathin’ so easy That’s why I’m singin’ so freely That’s why there’s a smile on my face And a feather in my hat There’s SomeOne takin’ care of that
I don’t have to push & shove To make sure I get ahead There’s SomeOne takin’ care of that I don’t have to know where The road leads on up ahead There’s SomeOne takin’ care of that
bridge:
No matter what looks real No matter how you feel You’re never too far gone That you can’t get back There’s SomeOne takin’ care of that

Jesus Is At The Wheel Words by Terry Clark, Music by Terry Clark & Joe Bellamy
I’ve tried so many times To guide this life of mine Then I remembered Jesus is at the wheel And I’ve learned when times get rough All I know’s just not enough Then I remember Jesus is at the wheel
He’s at the wheel No need to hurry You’re just along for the ride He’s at the wheel No need to worry ‘Cause I know He’ll get you over To the other side And when you’re trying so hard And you feel like it’s just too far Just remember Jesus is at the wheel

Love Like You w&m Terry Clark
Your love was seen by all the world When You went to the Cross That’s how we know God’s love is real But You ascended then poured out That love on all the earth Now Your love rests right here in me A sea of love inside of me A fountain waiting to be freed
I love You, Lord Because You first loved me I love You, Lord Now come and make of me The one who loves like You The one who cares like You do When those around me need Your love Let me love like You
Real love won’t save itself It’s not afraid of sacrifice But lays its life down for his friend This love, the light of all the world The healing for our lives That love now rests right here in me A sea of love inside of me A fountain waiting to be freed
