Catalyst People

Terry and Nancy had very similar childhoods with generations of family heritage emmersed in being identified with Jesus and His ministry to and through His people. That early intimacy with Jesus and a personal encounter at age 25 set Terry on the track that has led to the ministry that is now called Catalyst Ministries.

Why Catalyst? A catalyst is introduced to accelerate the inter-reaction between two elements. In this case, people with Jesus.

If you engage in that conversation with Him, you in turn are the Catalyst to the person He gives you to, to echo their inner conversation with Jesus, to encourage them to continue to follow, trust and delight in Him.

We are still here because there are others that need to see Jesus at work and living in another human, you & me, and so to be drawn into conversation with Him. There are a few Catalysts called to build a platform to speak to the masses and harvest thousands of souls at a time. But there are multitudes of Catalysts who are designed for the continual one-on-one, daily harvest by personal interaction and true, loyal friendship.

The mass encounter is crucial, especially as we accellerate toward the end of the age, but that is the start-up of an eternal relationship with Jesus. Just as crucial is that each soul who starts-up, be drawn immediately into personal, outloud intimacy with this Savior and be gathered into an environment for that intimacy to deepen and become the control-room of an increasingly fruitful life. That work is carried through by you who quietly live the life you have been given and love those you have been given to.

Catalyst Ministries is Jesus’ hand reaching, touching you, drawing you into His confidence and encouraging you to know Him more intimately every day and to be His audible, visible, human Body on Earth. Moving steadily from being His loyal slave to being a treasured friend, you become the open life-language of a child of God interacting with His thoughts and desires for you and for those in your home and work and in communion with other faithful servants.

We are Catalysts. The automatic and spontaneous life of Jesus lived in us.
