How to get the most out of Hungry Bible

OT

Joshua 8:33 Then all the Israelites–foreigners and citizens alike–along with the leaders, officers, and judges, were divided into two groups. One group stood at the foot of Mount Gerizim, the other at the foot of Mount Ebal. Each group faced the other, and between them stood the Levitical priests carrying the Ark of the LORD’s covenant. This was all done according to the instructions Moses, the servant of the LORD, had given for blessing the people of Israel.

Proverbs 3:5-10 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the LORD and turn your back on evil. Then you will gain renewed health and vitality. Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything your land produces. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with the finest wine.

:31 Do not envy violent people; don’t copy their ways.

NT

10:3-6 And all of them ate the same miraculous food, and all of them drank the same miraculous water. For they all drank from the miraculous rock that traveled with them, and that rock was Christ. Yet after all this, God was not pleased with most of them, and he destroyed them in the wilderness. These events happened as a warning to us, so that we would not crave evil things as they did

12:12 The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up only one body. So it is with the body of Christ.

:18-21 But God made our bodies with many parts, and he has put each part just where he wants it. What a strange thing a body would be if it had only one part! Yes, there are many parts, but only one body. The eye can never say to the hand, “I don’t need you.” The head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you.”

:27 Now all of you together are Christ’s body, and each one of you is a separate and necessary part of it.
