1:1-3 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
2:1-2 Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against his Anointed One.
3:3 But you are a shield around me, O LORD; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head.
4:4-5 In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. Selah Offer right sacrifices and trust in the LORD.
:8 I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.

10:6 Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they [Israelites who died in the wilderness]did.
:11 These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come.
:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
:27-28 If some unbeliever invites you to a meal and you want to go, eat whatever is put before you without raising questions of conscience. But if anyone says to you, ‘This has been offered in sacrifice,’ then do not eat it, both for the sake of the man who told you and for conscience sake.
11:30 That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.
12:11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.
:31 But eagerly desire the greater gifts. And now I will show you the most excellent way.
