Psalm 119/Revelation 1-3

How to get the most out of Hungry Bible

OT

:11 I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

:18 Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your law.

NT

1:3 God blesses the one who reads this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to it and obey what it says. For the time is near when these things will happen.

OT Flash Points

I love Your ways and commands
You are my only hope

NT Flash Points

He who is willing to hear knows what the Spirit is saying to the Church

Perspective

I am not my own
My being sent, is not on the basis of what Jesus has done for me but on the basis of who He is
Knowing Him, I can tell others
Not – doing for Him
But – being a delight to Him, entirely His
Yes, Man is sovereign
BUT the scope of that sovereignty is confined to the choice of who or what to be given to
Choice: My claim to My right to Myself – OR – His claim to His right to me
Every thought held captive by His grace to buy me and now be given to Him
