How to get the most out of Hungry Bible

OT

26:63-65 So these are the census figures of the people of Israel as prepared by Moses and Eleazar the priest on the plains of Moab beside the Jordan River, across from Jericho. Not one person that was counted in this census had been among those counted in the previous census taken by Moses and Aaron in the wilderness of Sinai. For the LORD had said of them, “They will all die in the wilderness.” The only exceptions were Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

NT

16:1 Then I heard a mighty voice shouting from the Temple to the seven angels, “Now go your ways and empty out the seven bowls of God’s wrath on the earth.”

:15 “Take note: I will come as unexpectedly as a thief! Blessed are all who are watching for me, who keep their robes ready so they will not need to walk naked and ashamed.”

17:1-2 One of the seven angels who had poured out the seven bowls came over and spoke to me. “Come with me,” he said, “and I will show you the judgment that is going to come on the great prostitute, who sits on many waters. The rulers of the world have had immoral relations with her, and the people who belong to this world have been made drunk by the wine of her immorality.”

18:1-3 After all this I saw another angel come down from heaven with great authority, and the earth grew bright with his splendor. He gave a mighty shout, “Babylon is fallen–that great city is fallen! She has become the hideout of demons and evil spirits, a nest for filthy buzzards, and a den for dreadful beasts. For all the nations have drunk the wine of her passionate immorality. The rulers of the world have committed adultery with her, and merchants throughout the world have grown rich as a result of her luxurious living.”
