I can do all things
Isaiah 22-24/Luke 8-9

How to get the most out of Hungry Bible

OT

24:19-23 The earth has broken down and has utterly collapsed. Everything is lost, abandoned, and confused. The earth staggers like a drunkard. It trembles like a tent in a storm. It falls and will not rise again, for its sins are very great. In that day the LORD will punish the fallen angels in the heavens and the proud rulers of the nations on earth. They will be rounded up and put in prison until they are tried and condemned. Then the LORD Almighty will mount his throne on Mount Zion. He will rule gloriously in Jerusalem, in the sight of all the leaders of his people. There will be such glory that the brightness of the sun and moon will seem to fade away.

NT

8:16-18 No one would light a lamp and then cover it up or put it under a bed. No, lamps are mounted in the open, where they can be seen by those entering the house. For everything that is hidden or secret will eventually be brought to light and made plain to all. So be sure to pay attention to what you hear. To those who are open to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But to those who are not listening, even what they think they have will be taken away from them.

OT Flash Points

Cities, governments of the world are in God’s hand

NT Flash Points

Fit for the Kingdom? Fit for service in the Kingdom?

Perspective

“This kind can only come out by prayer & fasting”
Focused concentration on God
Not on the demon or the problem
Face the problem squarely with eyes on Jesus
In complete abandon on Him
“I can do all things,” means that, in light of who Jesus is,
I can be the victor without panic whether exalted or humiliated
