Wisdom is a Person
Proverbs 7-9/ Matthew 3-4

[About Hungry Bible Reading ]

OT

7:1-5 Follow my advice, my son; always treasure my commands. Obey them and live! Guard my teachings as your most precious possession. Tie them on your fingers as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. Love wisdom like a sister; make insight a beloved member of your family. Let them hold you back from an affair with an immoral woman, from listening to the flattery of an adulterous woman.

NT

3:11-12 ‘I baptize with water those who turn from their sins and turn to God. But someone is coming soon who is far greater than I am–so much greater that I am not even worthy to be his slave. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. He is ready to separate the chaff from the grain with his winnowing fork. Then he will clean up the threshing area, storing the grain in his barn but burning the chaff with never-ending fire.’

:15-17 But Jesus said, ‘It must be done, because we must do everything that is right.’ So then John baptized him. After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him. And a voice from heaven said, ‘This is my beloved Son, and I am fully pleased with him.’

Perspective

Don’t make conclusions about God based on your own perception or expectations.
Confusion is the natural threshold in the passage to revelation but when He comes (reveals Himself to you) will He find faith?
