Be patient, persistent and faithful
Psalm 67-69 / 2Timothy 1-4

[About Hungry Bible Reading ]

OT

67:5-6 May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you. Then the land will yield its harvest, and God, our God, will bless us.

68:17-18 The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands; the Lord has come from Sinai into his sanctuary. When you ascended on high, you led captives in your train; you received gifts from men, even from the rebellious— that you, O LORD God, might dwell there.

NT

3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

OT Flash Points

It is self-destructive for a nation to reject God
Bring all rebellion and conflict against God and His people to justice and resolution
Rescue us, O God!

NT Flash Points

Endure suffering with me
Never forget the Good News = Jesus was a man born into King David’s family and He was raised from the dead
Don’t get side tracked into foolish quarrels
Remain faithful and persistent, whether circumstances are favorable or not
Not an experience but a work of Jesus

Perspective

Which are the people who have influenced you the most?
Not the ones that thought they did, but those who had not the remotest notion that they were enfluencing us
We always know when Jesus is at work because He produces in the commonplace something that is inspiring
