You are the parable!
Genesis 30/Matthew 25-26

How to get the most out of Hungry Bible

OT

30:43 As a result, Jacob’s flocks increased rapidly, and he became very wealthy, with many servants, camels, and donkeys.

NT

25:13 “So stay awake and be prepared, because you do not know the day or hour of my return.”

:40 And the King will tell them, “I assure you, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!”

OT Flash Points

Don’t miss the point
All the cultural stuff may obscure the message
Jacob finished his obligation which brought prosperity and blessing

NT Flash Points

The Kingdom Illustration
Unfortunately, the tares grow alongside the wheat
We the crop of the Holy Spirit must grow alongside the imposter
Only the Holy Spirit can reveal to us that we are both the Redeemed and the imposter
Deep joy is ours, knowing Him, the one who overcame the world
At any moment, this moment, we can receive Him and know Him
His promise is to the one who overcomes, who endures to the end
At the harvest, we will be gathered to Him and the imposter will be gathered to burn
Halleluia!

Perspective

We are the parable God is telling
Our conceit, self-obsession, is the last curse to be expelled
Alone with God, He can go through the hidden parts to align them with the parable He is showing through our lives
