Proverbs 20-23/John 13-16

How to get the most out of Hungry Bible

OT

20:9 Who can say, I have cleansed my heart; I am pure and free from sin?

:20 If you curse your father or mother, the lamp of your life will be snuffed out.

21:3 The LORD is more pleased when we do what is just and right than when we give him sacrifices.

:21 Whoever pursues godliness and unfailing love will find life, godliness, and honor.

NT

13:3-5 Jesus knew that the Father had given him authority over everything and that he had come from God and would return to God. So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist, and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel he had around him.

:15 I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you.
