Come to Me
2Kings 17 / 2Corinthians 1-3
How to get the most out of Hungry Bible
OT
17:7-8 This disaster came upon the nation of Israel because the people worshipped other gods, sinning against the LORD their God, who had brought them safely out of their slavery in Egypt. They had imitated the practices of the pagan nations the LORD had driven from the land before them, as well as the practices the kings of Israel had introduced.
NT
1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
2:14-17 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things? For we are not, as so many, peddling the word of God; but as of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ.
3:16 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
